Should a destroyer be present for aircraft to attack submarines?

No, but would I add that destroyers need to be present for aircraft to attack super submarines (c'mon this tech is really blech so let's spice it up a bit!)

i'm having trouble here:

YES for naval combat with multiple rounds (subs are initially above the waterline)

NO for naval combat on first round (subs go under the waterline in combat)

Remember folks, all these polls are about rule changes for an advanced rules edition. The basic edition for 12 year olds and over would remain the same.

Aircraft killed tons of subs in WWII. I'm sorry subs are still nearly worthless for Germany, but I don't think this is the right fix.
