Which set to get?

I'm new to this game and don't really have enough money to buy more than one case right now :( .

I was wondering what set you guys think would be best to get?

Set I so far has like the best infantry. I would concentrate on SetI and Set III by the looks of it Set III has some killer stuff. SetII has crappy infantry but some real sweet rares and I would handle set II the least. Just my opinion.

The Base Set (#1) contains most of the basic tanks (Shermans, T-34s, Panzers) and basic infantry, so I'd recommend that one if you were just gonna get a single case.

Alternately, if you know which nation/faction you want to play, just go online to singles sellers. You can put together a LARGE army of exactly what you want for less than the price of a case.

Choice # 1 set 1
Choice # 2 set 3... I was able to test a few things out and I like them.
Choice # 3 set 2... fliped a coin between 2 and 3.

oh and get a starter or 2.

here is the best way if your undecided about which set to buy. buy 4 boosters of each set.it adds up to a case in the end and you can see for your self which ones better.

Buying at least a case for each set is the way to go, and then buying singles to fill in the gaps. It's the cheapest way in the long run.

Here's an angle to consider: If you don't have much money and won't be buying alot in the short term, get a case of Set I. The later Sets are sure to be in production longer. You wouldn't want to put Set I on the back burner, not get to it for awhile for lack of funds, and then find out its discontinued.

Yes, set 1 is the better choice to begin. And, if you have a nationality preferance, you will do better if you buy singles of the nation you choose. But I prefer buying cases.

I agree with what has been said. So far set 1 has proved to make the foundation of my army, so far as wielding armor is concerned.

Plus the base infantry for every nation is in set 1 as well.

I would get Set 1, then print out Set 2. I'm not sure about Set 3, since no stat cards of Set 3 the I can see clearly and don't take 20 ink cartridges exist yet :o

Buy all sets for a stock, and then trade in what you want to play with for your other stuff.
