Has any one played Acquire with this scoring variant? It pays out more minority stockholder bonuses (through 4th place).
You only want to use this when you have four or more players. It help keep players from being totally shut out of early acquisition bonues by providing some balance to cash flow during the game.
We tried it for the first time last night in a four player game. It worked out alright, and I don't think it upset any of the mechanisms of the game. It was just a little less brutal. And everyone had more stocks with higher cash flow.
We did run out of cash at the end so everyone had to throw $10k back in the bank before final scoring for safe corporations.
