I don't recall reading this.
Last night, my opponent used his Sig-33 to attack my T-34/76. On my T-34/76 I had a Soviet Grenadier being transport.

While the attack against my T-34/76 didn't score enough successes to hurt the tank, my question is:

Should my opponent also be able to roll attack dice against the Soviet Grenadier that is being transported? While reading transport capability in the glossary, we could not determine if it should or should not be hit by the BLAST capability of the Sig-33 gun.
In the end he chose not to attack the unit, but I feel like he should have been able to get the attack on it. (reading historical notes about attacking tanks at their optics and vents to kill the people inside without destroying the tank leads me to believe this is possible)

The unit being transported is not the target of the attack. The unit being transported is in the hex, just doesn't count towards stacking limits. Blast says to make (not may) an attack roll against every unit in the hex.
Blast has been errata'd to not affect airpalnes.

I hope the Blast does work against the unit. It is a great counter tactic to the Cossack/KV-1 combo running rampant.

Blast does indeed affect transported units. They can't be attacked by direct fire, but Blast states that it affects every unit in the hex, and special abilities supercede the normal rules.
