Say you have a U.S. Marine Flamethrower which is located next to an ememy aircraft in the assault phase. The new errata makes the flamethrower "ability" ( three "sixes" = destroyed) not affect aircraft; however the flamethrower unit still has 10 dice at range 0-1 vs soldiers. Can the flamethrower unit still roll its' 10 dice against an aircraft, attacking normally, ignoring the "three sixes= destroyed" S.A.? This would be the same for the "Croc" and German Pz II F.
Example: U.S. flamethrower vs soldier with defense of 4 at range 1 = 10 dice. You roll seven "1's" and three "6's". Using the flamethrower S.A., this makes what would have been a miss (only three hits) a K.O.! Against an aircraft with the same flamethrower at the same range of 1, can you roll the 10 dice? If so, would you score hits on "5's" and "6's" (at -1) in a normal fashion?
If then you rolled three "6's" and seven "1's" vs an aircraft with defense 4, it would be a miss. But if you rolled five "5's" and five "1's", against a defense 4 aircraft, it would be normal damage (a kill vs all but the IL-10)? Is this correct?
