SS Stormtrooper range against Planes?

This topic was brought up in the General area but I don't think the person who asked it had enough time to post it here. So I will.

The SS Stormtroopers card does state that it can only attack soldiers at range 2.

It does have a medium range and there is nothing stated specifically that it can't attack planes up to a range of 4.

Is this going to be allowed to happen because of that or will there be some type of errata to discourage this?

This same thing applies to all units with the Limited Range 2 special ability. It should be amended to state, "this unit can use its anti-soldier attack dice only against targets within 2 hexes," or something along those lines.
