"Easy" Maps Question

Greetings all,

I had the 3 maps necessary to make the Easy design printed at Kinkos. We sat down to play and realized that perhaps I had made a wrong assumption. I thought the map was narrow, and 3 maps "deep." Instead, because of the way the hexes point, it map is quite wide and very short in length. Is this accurate, or did I print them wrong? Very hard to tell.

All the maps so far have their hexes laid out in the exact same way.
