Hi gang,

Some of you asked for samples of the new cards so here they are. This should appease your curiosity a bit better then the older BW cards.

http://www.geocities.com/opmgames/RHR/index.html

The old link to main page has changed as well. I am slowly getting the work done and tested -- but it takes a bit of time. But I would rather test things then release them half-baked. Easter messed up the schedule - but I am still trying to finish them for the end of the month.

I think you will find they greatly enhance miniatures play. I know we have.

There will be 124 cards from which to choose when its done. That will include the base American, British, German, Russian, Japanese, Australian, other Commonwealth. I intend to add the Fins, French, Italian, and secondary nations as it continues. There are currently 36 STAR cards (Special-Tactical-Action-Reaction) as well.

Again the bandwidth might give you some grief - so please be patient.

Cheers

They are a nice improvment over the early ones you did.

For fielding fixed historical units in large games of AAM. They are part of the RHR/RHS Rommel Home Rules System that I developed. Not to be confused with the HHR effort which is a different bunch of people.

Use the cards with AAM or use them for other miniatures games or as a Brigade/Battalion/Company level deck to put together and run larger scenarios or multiplayer games without all the hassles.

The eventual goal is to provide a system that allows you to easily run campaign games that translate from operational theatre level (larger hex wargames) to "one on one" squad level such as what AAM is. The Brigade deck allows you to resolve the higher level combat just using the cards, or take it to a tabletop minis battle and resolve it that way.

It also helps defeat the cheese army problems that are beginning to show up.
The Tactical and Action cards are also my way of allowing players to add historic detail and flavor to the game without corrupting the underlying rules of in this case the AAM game.

A "game above a game" if you prefer that term. Hope that answers your question.

Thanks.

The other ones were just Black and White general idea to see what people thought of the concept. I just decided to go ahead and do full color versions since it seems people prefer that.

Humm seems really great! Is there some place where I can find your "house rule", and and learn to play with your cards?

Within a couple weeks yeah. Me and my playtesters are currently working some of the smaller twists out. I will update my website with it when its closer to finished. I hope to get the bulk of the testing done this weekend and then write up the rules from that next week. I may get a more basic brief on the rules up before then just to get feed back from folks.

The 3D maps will take a little bit longer but some of them will be along within two weeks. They are full color as well.

Ok thanks. Can't wait for it. I will use them. Its a very cool idea.

Its a bit like combat mission where you can choose groups where all stuff is in it and all.

Good work keep it up.
