yes we are back with another big game 2,500 point battle of armor and cavalry and air with limited infrantry ,on the eastern front.yes the syracuse - binghamton alliance are at it again at fat cat books on may 20th with the mother of all armor fights.we will have it all tigers panthers and guards tanks omy.

so if you are tired of the online matches and want to see a good one of massive numbers of units and vehicles come one come all down to fat cat books on may 20th.

What you see is setup, first confrontation in which the Panzers rightfully hung back at edge of range. Senior sent in 4 Stukas. I gave him back 1 in change. I lost 4 units and then hid behind cover until he decided to commit to a battle I could shoot properly in.

What you don't see well enough in one picture to appreciate is Senior's huge force of Panzer IVGs and Pumas.

*Meanwhile, on the other end of the earth...I mean table, Evil's Sturmoviks are sending weakly defended Nashorns off to Reaper Heaven.

Also, though this seems like a tacticless bloodbath, appearances are deceiving. What's neat is when you see chaos come together in such great hulking numbers, and then you have to make the best out of it with what tactics you have.

Most of our big games have more tactics than this one had, but it had its moments. I would rate the high water mark of the game the point where the Russians held off until turn 3 and counter attacked with the left wing forces in coordination with the remaining 4 Sturmoviks ala Evil, thereby holding the line, as you will see. It was just the turn before where he used his planes to annhilate 2 WOs on halftracks, turning the tide of initiative.

Hornet, not to be shortchanged in any of this, did nothing less than advance the entire game on the right wing. But I get ahead of the images...

yes i faced the might of german power (4 king tigers,4 tigers ,4 nashorns ,4 jagdpanzer 4's, 4 ss panzer 4's and 6 sd kfz 222 ,and 2 bf -109e's)agaist this i had one american halftrack ,11 m4a1's 4 is-2 stalin 's ,2 valaint 2 's ,4 t-70's, t 34/76 ,kv-1,4 t-34/85's) i advanced from the get go .under long range shots that were picking off my tanks , i marched on i destroyed all the german tiger i's on turn 3.it cost me mightly but the losses must be taken to beat back the fascist scourge.to my left the center of are lines were awash with katyusha launchers firining in mass on the german forces there.to are extreme let flank the german stukas flew in like birds of pry but were shot down out of the sky.and by the time of great center smash of forces flamethrower churchill tanks destroyed with joyous death blast of flame on the panthers holding the center.and back to my frontage the russian airpower rallied to attack the nashorns as the german commander left them with out aa cover,we destroyed 3 of them for the loss of one il-10.as my forces were advancing dying to german cannonfire but as i closed they were equaly dying .on the last turn i massed my heavy hitters near the king tigers who through out the game were impervious to cannon and air attacks.by the time i was done firing 1 king tiger was limping away.the germans this day were completely destroyed as a force and were retreating a great victory for mother russia

Time to come out and do battle w/ the PZIVGs now that they're in range. For the Axis, it was either this or go up the middle. Against my force of mostly small tanks, 2 IS2s and a couple Shermans aside, I expected to be in lots of trouble.

This shot is of the burm. Tankettes stopped the heavy armor with the help of a couple crocs. I have new respect for the tiny tanks.
