I only know two people who play AAM. My two roomates. I taught them how to play and they use my minis. One of them doesn't have much time to play and the other quit playing for about a week and a half. He has been on a losing streak for months.
The cool thing is I got out my old Dungeons & Dragons stuff. All of my materials date from 1978-1985. My roomates' characters are just getting high enough in level to play some of my better modules. Right now they are in the middle of S2 "White Plume Mountain". I can't wait until I can run some of my Judges Guild's high level modules like "Inferno".

Anyway, I have more than enough dice, but I spent $40 on all new dice today. I haven't bought any new dice in about 10 years - so I was due for a change. I'm eager to try out my extra-large 20 sided. I got a lot of cool looking 6 sided dice. There was no doubt we would have to end our AAM drought.

We're playing "urban combat" with 20 unit 250 pt. armies.
I've got my 3 crocs near the objective. He wanted to take a pause - it will last til Friday night. We should probably stick to D&D until Set 4 comes out.
:D

For me, Dice are the coolest part of D&D.

My friend got a 100 sided dice one time and he threw it up in the air and it landed and all the tiny pieces exploded all over the parking lot.

Rpgs are cool. I'm running an Indiana Jones-ish game currently. Pulp 1930s.

Agreed, nothing like rolling a d20 :)

I'm currently working on an RPG based on the world of the Jennifer Government

of course, I'm using the d20 modern rules ;) (thought I'd throw a bone to Wizards)

My roomate's losing streak continues. I bought the new Jaws game for PS2. It's cool. Your the shark. Instead of a first-person shooter its a first-fish eater. I've only played the first level.

Just passing the time until FRIDAY :D

Anybody play "Fortress America"? I won it on Ebay last Nov, but the guy never mailed it. I had to file a claim with Paypal to get my money back. The price has gone up since then.

"Jaws: the PS2 game"? Sing this as you play. It's from a Mad magazine from the 1970's.

To the tune of "Do Re Mi" from "The Sound of Music":

JAWS, a mouth. A great big mouth.
TEETH, those things that kind of crunch.
SHRIEK, a scream coming from the south.
US, a shark's favorite lunch.
BLOOD, that dyes the ocean red!
CHOMP, that gives a swimmer pause!
GLUG, that means the shark's been fed ...
And that brings us back to JAWS, JAWS, JAWS, JAWS ...

I watch the movie every chance I get.

Jaws or the Sound of Music? :p

They're best watched back-to-back as a double feature. Of course you should put any kids to bed before starting the Sound of Music.

Coming from the guy who thinks Abba is the best band ever

I do like me some Abba. They aren't the best band, just better than AY's faves. :D

I kid, I kid.

I saw some very cool d6 dice for the first time this weekend in a game called Honor of the Samurai. Each side had a feudal Japanese symbol that corresponded with 1 to 6 pips. The dice were nice and heavy too. I might have to get a copy of the game just for those dice.

The game itself was a so-so take that card game.

My daughter stuck one of the WizKids Pirates dice up her nose. We were half way to the doctor when she finally blew it out.

Of course, being 2 at the time, she did not learn and did it again the next week. We now have all of our dice in a safe place.

My sister used to stick pieces of candy up her nose. The doctor had to keep using this sucking straw thing to suck them out.

My dad told her that if she didn't stop putting things in her nose then the doctor might accidentally suck out her brain one of these times.

She didn't stop. She still has a brain. My dad is a liar.

I thought he was your pet...

I suppose you're right. The kangaroo is treated like a pet and is lower in rank that me, my fish sister, and my hippo brother.

When I enter a room I like to roll a 20 sided dice on the floor. All of the gamers heads will instinctively swivel around to find the source of the noise:D
