Yeah! Great suggestions. I recently read "Army at Dawn: the War in North Africa," and I've been itching to play a good A&A:Minis game set in that campaign. You can kinda do it now, but I would LOVE it if you could use actual units that were involved instead of proxies.

I was thinking, what if they made some French Foriegn legion for allies and axis. There was a fairly large civil war in North Africa between the French Foriend legion under old French control, and the French Foriegn legion under Vichy control. Also, what if they made axis Soviets.

As long as they didn't do these pieces instead of many of the "missing" pieces from the major powers this would be a great add on.

Overall, great ideas. Based on the theme, there's enough material to do two full expansions. I doubt they'll break their rule of 45 units per expansion, since it's probably rooted in some financial model. So, if I were to keep your list as is, I'd drop the following:

Looking at your list, though, I don't want to cut anything and would rather have two sets - One for North Africa, one for the Med. My main reasoning for this is not liking minor nations with only one unit each. I prefer more flavor.

I like the list that you have set out, it get a lot of needed units to the minor allies and minor axis powers(Italy,France). realisticly i think they will do a set that has to deal with the mediterrainian and the pacific(i hope so) with a unit count that is split with units from the Med campaign and the pacific campaign. We know for sure that we have to more sets this year so, i predict that we will at least have a Med. set for sure, and hopefully a pacific one, maybe after, but i would think that WoTC would split the next set between the Med. and Pacific, instead of devoting 1 set to each theatre of combat. but this is only if WoTC doesnt release War At Sea as the next set.

I'm still thinking that WAS is going to share the release schedule with AAM, so I'm predicting at most, one more expansion this year. Personally, I hope it's the Pacific. The Marines and the Japanese need some love.

For the French Foreign Legion :
The French Foreign Legion is an elite troop in ww2. The French Foreign Legion of General Koenig is a free French army like a Leclerc Division in Tchad and it was the heroes of Bir Hakeim battle in 1942.

Only the french troops in Morocco and Algeria was under the Vichy control before the Torch Operation.

And, ok for the T17E1 Staghound but for me, the second is a M10 destroyer

It's OK, there is only missing the Japanese. Maybie a Ho.Ni 2 or something to improve their armor, they don't really nedd other infantry. Everything else is ok.

I hope that they release a set devoted to more of the minors(hungary,Bulgaria,Finland,Demanrk,Belgium,.. ..) I would like to see conscripted SS from the minor axis, definately some Vichy french for the axis. I would also like to see a '45 set, dealing with the end of the war, and some units that show the despiration of the axisand the insanity that overtook them fighting against the allies to the bitter end. I would like to see some volkstrum(maybe some teenagers that fought and died for hitler), a unit representing the squads of SS police that went through the streets of nazi germany terrorizing its own population because old men and young boys wouldnt fight. basically some die hard SS, an me-262, or a natter would be cool. I doubt that WoTC will ever do this, but medium bombers would be cool. I really want some artilery, like a 75mm Pack Howitzer, maybe the one that the allied para's used, although that would make the para-bomb strategy even worse. since they have done obstacles parts of the siegfried or maginot line would be cool, some bunkers with a AT gun it it, or some of the buners that had Panther turrets on them. the problem is I dont know how well all of this stuff woud do in actual game play. I am a collector so I think this is the collector in me talking, not the gamer. :)

Technically ANZAC troops are not just New Zealanders, they are a mix of Kiwi and Aussie troops. Maybe some sort of New Zealand trooper, possibly a hero as the New Zealanders had the great Charles Upham who won two Victoria Crosses for bravery - nows that a real hero!!!
