Not enough Russian. Then again, what should I expect in the 'D-Day' set?

Not enough russian, japanese or Italians, but in DDay those 3 nations were not very present.

Ahem...a *Rare* soldier? Perhaps wishful thinking, about Heroes? ;-)

No Russians in D-Day, but US still got units in Eastern Front. Right now, I'd savor the moment of a Stalingrad set with NO US UNITS. Except that might be going to far. If they make the Pacific Set next, since it focuses on US, obviously there will be very little Soviet units again. Pacific next would be a horrible choice.

Again, many minor nations are just being introduced and duped, like Canada, Australia, and China (among others). I'd like to see more of these, esp. China. The Second Sino-Japanese War was a front of its own!

I am using the stats as provided by a forum member in a PDF file. There could be an error, but the 88mm Flak 36 is a soldier and is rare.

You must not seen the Russian Hero. He is friggin awesome. All it takes is one GOOD unit to improve a nationality, as opposed to tons of stinky ones.

Spawn that guy in the objective hex with the kv1/cossack and watch him kill, kill, kill. Hand to hand 10 + fanatic + super senses is one hard to take down mobile killing machine

Effectively, the 88 Flack 36 is a rare piece and it is a soldier. Confirmed in the gallery.

Anyway, the 88 stats are off... This Gun was with his High Explosive shell, more capable than the Little Bofor, and from the stats... it ain't the case.

But I think the 88 was used for a higher altitude shooting as apposed to the bofors.

It doesn't matter what altitude you're at when you get hit by a HE round from a 88mm. It doesn't track aircraft well, that's true, but perhaps it should have gotten Blast or some such to represent flak rounds used against soft targets.

the 88 was not nearly as effective against infantry as the bofors, the bofors fired a great deal faster (about 9x as fast, in RPM) then the 88, and since neither was intended to be used with obstacles in the line of fire, the smaller round at a higher rate of fire will get more ammo to the target then the big one.

I realize there are two Russians, but there were many more Americans in set 2. Although, I did not know how powerful the Russian hero was, being that the stats aren't up at triton-tek and I don't even have any set 3 minis, let alone set 4. What does super senses do?
