can someone please explain retreating to me? im having a litlle trouble about when you can do it and how it is done.

Also can a transport move to a water zone and then brige? for instance can a transprot move to the gibraltar sea zone and then brige troops to africa?

Hi Siestraphone.

Transports may move (up to two spaces) and pick up (one or two infantry) in any order. Once they unload, They are finished for the turn. Bridging is not a special move transports may make, rather a special name for transporting when the movement (if any) occurs before the troops are picked up. In your example, the transport could move into the straight of gibralter, and pick up one or two infantry (or a tank) from Gibralter and 'bridge' them into Algeria. Again, all the normal rules pertaining to transports apply.

Only the attacker may retreat from a battle, and only after a full round of battle. A round of battle is described in detail on your reference card. In each round, the attacker rolls all their dice, followed by the defender. All casualties are removed, subs may withdraw, and the round is over. The attacker now choses to initiate another round of combat, or to retreat. If the retreat option is not exercised at this point, the attacker may not chose to retreat until after another full round of battle, and so on. the attcaker may not chose to retreat from an amphibious assault - this type of battle is fought to the death. Also, you may not retreat if all the defending units have either been destroyed or have withdrawn (or any combination). In this case, the battle is over.

Enjoy A&Aing.

thanks for the reply
but one mroe question, when heavy bombers use three dice, do the three rolls count as three separate attckas or do u choose the best of the three, also in strategic bombs do you add all of the dice and subtract that many I.P.C.'s??

The three rolls are considered three different attacks, one for each bomber. As for the strategic bombing, yes, you add up all the dice and subtract that many I.P.C.'s.
