I, like many others, have wondered just how important A&AM is to WotC/AH/Hasbro, so I decided to figure the statistics for AH's forum site. The results are quite interesting. The numbers used are as of 1:15 pm (EST), June 19. At that time there were 16 different games listed on the forums, 4 separate A&A games, and A&AM. There were 12,659 threads and 157,745 posts in all with the two highest being the A&A board games and A&A Miniatures.
Here is what I found:

A&A board game threads accounted for 26.1% of all threads and 26.7% of all AH forum posts.

A&AM produced 48.6% of all threads and 54.2% of all posts on AH's forum site.

Of course this isn't an exact count of the number of people who buy AH/WotC/Hasbro games, nor does it count all the games Hasbro sells, but it does give a good idea of the most important games the corporation has in its inventory.

Since all statistics use a small sample to determine the cost effectiveness of a product, one can take heart at the huge advantage A&AM has over the other products.

Before anyone is tempted to correct/clarify/redefine this thread, I readily admit this is a poor statistic since the threads and posts are heavily skewed towards only a few members, but, reguardless, it also gives a good showing of the level of interest there is in this single game of the many produced by Hasbro and their offshoots.

Food for thought for those trying to get WotC's attention to their glaring errors.

Hhhmm.....Thats interesting. You had some time on your hands. I hope WoTC is actually listening to us since we make up a good majority of the products sold...
