couldnt you simply use the firefly card as an Easy Eight ? its stats are definatly closer to what it should be while the 17lb gun has been constely under rated.
First, you can of course do anything you want in house rules.
I suppose the advantage of using the firefly card. Is that if you do play in a tournament you can just switch back to the firefly model & your force is tournament legal.
The firefly card does clearly have stats more appropriate to the easy-8.
But neither are what I would consider cost-effective. So if your local games group agreed to use that house rule. You will probably find that after a bit of experimentation. no one will actually play the revised easy-8 (29 points is just too much for a tank with those stats)

Maybie the Easy eight should cost something like 40 points, like the comet. But, well, at 54 i still se poeple that play it.

An E8 is what I play if I expect Vet Tigers and the like. Even if you can't go toe to toe with them you can at least harass them and make them take you seriously. Nobody likes to have an E8 behind them. It makes them all sweaty and nervous...in a good way.

If anything gets a decrease in points it should be the nashorn.

I would second the nashorn should have decreased pts. Its a good thought and it might even work. The E8 should be less pts though but I know someone who always plays it in a game thats 250+ pts. It is a good tank thats reliable and can take some hits.

If anything gets a decrease in points it should be the nashorn.A 2/3 defense unit with no AAA capability, with a fixed gun and "Tall Silouhette" is -ALWAYS- unuseable.
IMO, the crux of the matter is the "Tall Silouhette". Not only does it render the vehicle unuseable, but it's totally unrealistic!!! If anything, it should have "Camoflage" or "Hard to Spot" or something.

maybe im not looking in the right spot but does any-one know why the sherman firefly has no abilities? i mean its got a 17 pounder in it so maybe it should have extended range, armour piercing or something fair enough its only 29 pts but still it should have had at least one ability
