Buying AA guns

hi,
I have a little question:
When one buys an AA gun-where does he mobalize it to?
can he place it wherever he likes on the board(on territories he control) or only in places where there are ICs?

Like any other land unit, AA guns may only be placed in a territory with an Industrial Complex that you have controlled since the beginning of your turn.

than what's the point?! it'll take ages to move the required AA gun from the location of the IC to the location desired :S

Yes, it's not a very prudent purchase unless you need it close by or you have a while to get it there. Movement by transport may be faster (but more dangerous) if the territories border sea zones.

There usually is an AAgun with the IC. You can move that one out on the same turn you buy a new one. It'll save you 1 turn.
