View Full Version : tanks don't ever move before boarding transport?

a tank cannot move one space, and then onto a transport, regarless if you only move one space with the transport, or if you only want to board? or are you only not allowed to move a space prior or after a transport that has a loading a 2 space move and an unloading?

Yes,tanks can move one space then board a transport and land all in one turn.

Take a look at page 13 of the rules.
It says that tanks cannot move before or after boarding a transport. They must start adjacent to the sea zone where they board a transport and they must remain in the territory in which they unload.

Now,are we talking about the 1st or 2nd edition rules?Also,I know for a fact that the A&A:P rules state that you can.

Page 29 of the AAP manual:

Moving a land unit into and out of a transport counts as that land unit's full move. The land unit may not move to additional territories after landing, nor may it move to a territory and then board a transport on the same turn. I've gone through this before with our play group since we used to allow this many years ago when we first started playing. Of course once more then one person had the rules we discovered all kinds of things we were doing wrong. :confused:

I went to read the rules for all three games and
I was wrong about the rule.I apologize for not checking the rules before I posted a response.
