I am unsure exactly what you mean by "Blitzing" Japan. If you mean playing the allies to kill Japan first, then yes some people also do this.

Blitzing is moving a tank through an empty emeny controlled territory, and into another territory on the same combat movement phase. It is impossible to blitz Japan.

Of course, I figure you mean something different by 'blitz', but I'm not sure what.

You mean you don't play the Chiang Kai Shek Pirate Hovertank mod? That's the best mod!

Ok, you guys are really starting to scare me now. I have no idea what you are talking about...maybe I am showing my ignorance?

And I am still confused on what Blitzing Japan is?

Um... Inside joke. Look under "Appendix B". You probably have to log in first:

SM063, The Appendix B is Funny, funny stuff. But the serious point is that it's an example of why you can't ever get two strangers to agree on the rules of Monopoly (or A & A).

Hey Gargantuan.

We got off on a little tangent with the inside jokes there. Sorry, that wasn't really fair to you.

There are two main Allied strategies in the game: KGF and KJF. That stands for "Kill Germany First" and "Kill Japan First". A few people go with a mixed strategy where only the US goes after Japan.

Typically the best players pick a target and kick it until it goes down. Focus pays off in this game.

In domination games (playing until your opponent quits or dies), KGF is practically the rule. In time-limited tournament games KJF is a much more viable option due to "Victory City Bonuses", so you'll see 40%-60% of Allied players going KJF.

If you want some strategy stuff, there are a bunch of articles on the Caspian Sub website (I'm one of the editors). There are 1-page Beginner Strategy Guides as well as some ridiculously detailed analyses at the expert level for various topics. There are also some Axis Puzzles to solve that demonstrate particular techniques.

And some on this board will tell you that the articles are mostly the fevered rantings of a few madmen.

Judge for yourself:

Good luck!

To be precise:

<<<Some?>>> Ok, one.

<<<A few?>>> Ok, 700 members. 9 editors.

So it depends on how you spin things ;)
