Attention Avalon Hill Community,
This community has more than doubled in size since this time last year. Comments and opinions are offered at a furious pace in keeping with this dramatic growth of our forums. With that said, an increasing number of forum members are not having fun and refrain from posting due to an atmosphere of negativity throughout the boards.
In the past, Avalon Hill staff has frequently posted to offer assistance with rules, game play, and future development questions. Like you, they are not required to participate in the forums, but come because they care about AH games. They too express being hesitant to participate because they will become targets of tireless critics who feel the forums are their avenue to get a complaint resolved. The end result of this trend can only be a community of griefers that is increasingly posting only to itself.
Therefore, from this point on, we ask that you please discuss games in a way that may create spirited debate, but also creates a spirit of fun. Excessive negativity is counterproductive to the atmosphere we want to create for fans of Avalon Hill games and continuous complaints—especially from the same members over time--will no longer be tolerated on the forums. Members of the forum who are unable to make this adjustment to the content and tone of their posts will lose their posting privileges. Everyone is encouraged to direct complaints to the Customer Service department via http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=aboutus/contactus.
Thank you for your understanding in this very critical matter.
