This was one of the key battles that tipped the scales to the allies. They had to sustain a convoy of suuplies, troops, and armaments from NORTH America to Europe. In the original version the battle was often ended after the first turn and with Halifax being 2 sea zones from Great Britain you could transport across in one non-combat turn. How would this be addressed in the new version? Would it be like AAE with convoy routes? or incorporating a line like the Burma Road in AAP?

Neither convoy routes nor supply lines were imported into the new version. The supply from America is crucial to the Allied effort, but no special rules are used to govern it.

One of the biggest problems in 2nd edition rules was the trapped sub being sunk by aircraft. 3rd edition submerge rules helped somewhat. We will see if subs get any other useful upgrades in the new game.

In Europe and Pacific versions, submarines were finally allowed to do what they did best during WW2, launching attacks on the enemy economy, waging strategic warfare. Submarines in original A&A simply did not work. They do not work (in the sense that noone buys them) even in the computer version where there is an optional rule allowing them to submerge.

I am eagerly waiting for your representation of the German and American submarine campaigns in Atlantic and Pacific oceans.
