I finally saw this on the Links page. I don't often hear his strategies mentioned on these boards.

Are they really as good as they sound?
As the UK, I usually built a factory on India and pretty much followed the strategy he outlines naturally. Russia too - only infantry is about the only choice. However Germany, Japan, the US, I played *very* differently. Especially as Germany I am very aggressive. I tried his Germany strategy on the PC last night (all other countries were the AI) and it sure did allow me to pump a lot of units into Africa fast. I was able eventually to take all of Africa and push more infantry through the Middle East into eastern Russia. The AI Japanese piddled around Hawaii while Germany captured Novosibirsk. Karelia and Russia finally fell around turns 15 and 16. I wasn't afraid of letting allied units attack into MY kill zones. I didn't use armor unless I KNEW I could hold the territory. In short, Germany wore the allies down all alone. Nothing to sneeze at, despite the dumb AI.
But what is most important are the general principles espoused in the articles. Build mostly infantry every single turn. Constantly push infantry to the front forming strong defensive lines. Preserve your offensive pieces. Do not attack into enemy kill zones. Etc.
