in the game of axis and allies miniatures we have a lot of
SA's to choose from when picking our units
as we all know, there are some SA's that are great while others
aren't good at all
so the question is, what is the SA that has proven itself the most
useful to you? i'm not asking what SA is the best in the game, so
keep that in mind
for me it's the high gear ,especially with the Bmw R75 , even
though it's basically a mauser on wheels, the high gear SA makes
it capable of reaching anything it wants or just hide until the opp. appears
so whats yours? and why?

Since I have a bad tendancy to roll low number while using my tanks (but not with infantry) I would say:
"Crack Shot" all the way baby
While for infantry... Ruthless is nice, and also Hard Charger.

The EENCO SA that extends medium range, either that or flamethrower.

Oooooh. Just had an evil thought. *L* We need some Marine Corp leaders. How about a Marine NCO who mimmicks the EENCO but allows the extension of Short Range to Medium!? WOO-HOO! KILLER FLAME-THROWER, bay-bay!

All Guns Blazing on the Stuart seems to be in the thick of most of the games I've been in, whether for me or against me.
RBloom0566, I was thinking the same thing about a Marine NCO, Hoo-rah!

I've had tremendous luck with the Smoke Screen SA on the Pz IIIF,and I try to include one in all my German/Axis builds

Crack Shot comes first!
Head shot comes second!
Improved Indirect Fire is close third!

Absolutely, Patton 68, Smoke Screen - it's more dangerous and effective than most players realize, my standard rule I Pz IIIf for every 100 points..no exceptions!!! :)

Okay, I'm going to have to start abusing Pz3F's now. Smoking out a hex seems like a great way to buy some time to set up an attack (or just run away).

the one that has helped me the most is strike and fade on the Archer. sit there, fire, and then move out of the enemies range.

Crack Shot and any SA that allows moving while disrupted are the best SA's. Anything that takes out the luck factor is HUGE and those SA's work all the time where others are spotty...Smoke Screen, the once per game abilities, SS Head Hunter, and other abilities may be completely useless depedning on opponent, map, etc but Hard Charger, Rhino, PZIV, Vet Tiger always work against anything.

personally my fav is the one off the Vigilant Lt(def preparation) it makes all Arty's usefull... pumps up the flak88,flak 20mm, PAK's etc.
he is a must in most bigger games...even small ones depending on the build, whenever I use arty's I usually add one...
for tanks my fav S.A. is probably blast or bombardment but probably bombardment because my pesky enemies cant save :) heheh

Uhhh... Ill go with Close Assault. It's an SA that many INF possess, but is absolutely vital to almost every army I design.

Crack Shot is the most effective SA I've used.
Second would be any SA that allows you to ignore disrupted counters.
A close third for armour would be the combo of Blast and Bombardment. No saves for you you pesky infantry. :D

Mulled it over for a day or two...lots of useful SAs...finally went w/ Close Assault. You can get alot of infantry for the price of a decent tank. Positioned properly, you can limit a vehicle's mobility, at very least be a PITA to it. As much as I like SAs such as Angriff, it's value would plumett without Close Assault.
That get's MVSA in my book.

I would probably go with Superior Camoflauge cuz its just great. The enemy has to move in close to do anything.

Pinpointer/Seasoned Crew/Bombardment/Flamethrower. Anything that gets rid of pesky cover rolls.

I'd have to say any SA that allows a disrupted unit of mine to move.

Id have to go with Close Assault 8 primarily from my mosins. 6 mosins and 3 heros hunted down a couple of brummbars in a game.

I love crack shot. I run the Elite Pz IV in packs and my buddies have yet to beat them all -- kind of like a German version of the old Sherman Rush. Also included in my German builds is at least 1 sniper. Today, I beaned a Sherman Bushwhacker with a sniper, then finished it off with 2 Elite IVs, all at long range. By the end of the game, I had cleaned out my opponents entire 100 pt force by turn 6, including the Bushwhacker, an M4A1, and Hellcat, for the loss of 1 Elite IV and 1 SS Pgr.
