I feel a bit stupid asking this, but I just don't know which way is right. I don't usually play hexagon based games, so I'm not sure which is right when it comes to counting the hexagons between players.
Here's a very quick thing I did in mspaint to try and illustrate what I'm asking.

Alright, so here goes.
Just pretend that there's something to shoot at in the hex that the two lines are joining up to south of the infantry.
Now for the question, how many hexes distance is that? Do I count it in a way that is very confusing and involves .5 hexes (blue numbers/line) [Ah, I just noticed the 3rd .5 is hard to see (it's right beside the guy)]? Or do I count it as the hex is 2 hexagons away like I have it in the red numbers?
So either the 1.5 hexes distance, or 2 hexes distance. It makes more sense being 2 for simplicity's sake, but I just don't know 100% for sure about the counting hexagons method. I didn't see anything in the rules, but I might've skipped over something.
Please help. :D
