I've mentioned this before and now am making another attempt:

A&AE and A&AP merely need a mapboard to connect the two together. However, due to the differences in mapping scale of the two games there arises difficulties, I'm sure. So I propose a mapboard showing central and southern Africa with land and sea boxes along the edges that provide connections to various land and/or sea zones in the A&AP and A&AE that can cost full movement points.

For example: on the east or southeast portion of this mapboard there can be a sea box of the Indian Ocean that connects to one or a few of the African coastal sea zones of this mapboard to one or a few of the sea zones of the A&AP mapboard. Furthermore this sea box can also be a convoy box.

The same can be done for connecting various points of both A&AE and A&AP to this new mapboard, thus connecting all central and southern world.

There could also be an area on the north edge of this new mapboard that indicates connections of central Asia to various points of Russia, China, Middle East and eastern Europe. This can also act as rail box and/or supply line.

If designer's feel it necessary (not taking the time to scale the maps myself), either of these boxes could connect to another connecting box to make up the difference in scale. This can't be that complicated.

At the least, if Avalon Hill is not planning to keep the additional land and/or sea zones, or convoy boxes of the A&AE and A&AP designs in the new revised A&A, the least that can be done is to create this mid-section that is missing from A&AE and A&AP for the many who looking for such a map to be created. PLEASE!!!

I don't think any interlinking maps or territories are actually needed.

Historical transfers between theatres were not that big nor often to warrant the extra expense or effort.

Instead, my idea is to pool the IPCs derived from the convoy zones into a single British and American pools and distribute the money between the theatre as British and American players want respectively.

These convoy IPCs represent the ammount of resources that leadership of these two powers could redistribute according to strategic situation without ahistorically neglecting either of the theatres. Instead of actual units, you can transfer the IPCs to produce them and thus make entire concept much faster and simpler, in accordance with the philosophy behind A&A.
