I'm just wondering if the following units are any good:

Jagdpanther
Valentine II
Jagdpanzer IV/4
Sherman VC Firefly
Churchill AVRE
Messerschmitt Me110
sig 33
King Tiger
Nashorn
Pershing
Sturmovik

I usually play with nation restrictions and with 100 pt. armies. I will appreciate any comments I can get. Thanks.

Jagpanther in 100 pts, forget it
Valentine II, no sorry
Jagpanzer IV, yes for a 200 pts with support it's a good tank hunter
Sherman Firefly, well, for the cost, no, for the utility yes
Churchill AVRE, well, In some scenario maybe, but the regular one is a lot better
Mess Me110, I like it, but it lacks compare to Me Bf109 or the FW
Sig 33, in early years, no more than 1941 yes, after that, the Brummbär.
King Tiger, in 200 pts it's a winner
Nashorn, 200 pts with support yes, but a little fragile
Pershing, 200 pts, it will scare your opponents
Sturmovik... Yes sir, plenty of power and Superior Armor 2, really good.

Churchill AVRE - Obviously a great piece. 7/6 defense for only 25 points is all I need to hear to know that. It requires an unorthodox strategy to play effectively which I haven't entirely figured out yet. It's there somewhere, I just haven't quite nailed it down yet.
Messerschmitt Me110 - no, forget about every aircraft but maybe the Stuka for the Axis
sig 33 - no, not when you can get three SS-PGs for the same price
King Tiger - no, not with the Jagdtiger available
Nashorn - no, not with the Jagdtiger availablbe
Pershing - no, not with the Jagdtiger available
Sturmovik - Great plane, not that great a unit. Sacrifices effectiveness for versatility and must get lucky to both stay alive (like any plane) and kill anything worth killing.

What they said, but I value the Vet Tiger higher than the Jagdtiger.

The avre is a tank for assault scenarios where you will face multiple obstacles.

SiG and Valentine are early war and should be found only in those scenarios.

The AVRE is a cheap tank for great armor but the croc is better

the Valentine and SIG are great in early war games, the valentines 5/5 def is great in 1939-1940 games

The Nashorn was made obsolete with the introduction of planes unless very well supported but even then to expensive..

Had many a Sturmovik last most to all of the game before...but planes are only good in larger games (200+)

The KT is good but Tragic is right the Jagdtiger and the Vet are much much better for less points..

Everyone's assessments are pretty accurate.

In early war (1939-41) situations, the Valentine can stand up to Elite Pz IV's better than any other Allied tank available at the moment. And, it's comparably priced.

Interesting! I must remember to tell my Axis opponent that I wish to substitute the Jagdtiger for the Pershing next time. This must be one of the Jagd's captured during Battle of the Bulge.

He just stated that it has no use to field it cause the enemy will field a jagdtiger and destroy your expensive tanks. ;)

You better use rangers :p
