I believe they are putting up a new scenario. The out of sequence part five one. Just an FYI...

What's the deal with the 5x M4A1 Shermans listed on two different lines with a picture of a soldier above it? Are those supposed to be the BAR dudes?

Looks like I'm going to have to order a couple more BAR guys :) . I have gone with 3D terrain and it looks like I'm going to have to get to work on building my hedgerows and maybe even some more bluff pieces. Sweet looking map, though. Scenario looks like a damn good one too.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, the scenario support this game has recieved is simply out-freakin'-standing! I really would like to say "my hats off" to whoever is involved in creating and seeing to it that all these fantastic scenarios keep coming and coming.

I would also like to mention, in the event that anyone involved with the selecting of scenarios sees this, that the smaller, one and two map panel scenarios are great to see every so often. These are really good in using to show new players the game or to sneak in a "quickie" if you're short on time. Just my two cents anyway.

But again, great job to all with the official scenario support!

Same question. I doubt their 5 Shermans. More likely another infantry unit as you suggest. Hope they clear that one up soon.

Would say its 5 BARS - it would fit the theme ;)

But with this configuration I bet all my money on the US side ---

Simply move first and use the BARS to hinder the Germans to fire, so even if you don't hit with the BARs you won't losse units while the Tanks and your other inf can butcher the Germans.

The only "threat" are the Mortars, but the Spotters should be gone early and then they are worth only half...

Can you climb cliffs?

Cause else they all must go trough that one bottleneck.

15 Sherman's are required to play this scenario

Sorry don't get it-
.. why should Sherman be liszted two times in a row. I believe the 10 Shermans are 10 BARS instead.

Thanks for the kudos on the scenarios. While the D-Day arc is now over, I hope everybody found something in here that they liked. Each campaign arc I write will have at least one scenario that is designed for quick and easy play on one or two maps.

Here is the troop roster from my master copy if this clarifies anything:

L Company of the 16th RCT

M1 Garand Rifle x 5
BAR Gunner x 5
Bazooka x 1
Red Devil Captain x 1

I, K and E Companies of the 116th RCT

M1 Garand Rifle x 5
Bar Gunner x 5
Bazooka x 1
Marines M2-2 Flamethrower x 2
Mortar M2 x 2
Red Devil Captain x 2

Armored Support from the 743rd Tank Battalion

Sherman M4A1 x 2

The BARs could do a lot of damage, but that all depends on initiative. A good Axis player will also go after them first, and four Mortars will do a lot of damage for each round those spotters remain standing. If the scenario still seems out of balance for you, you can add the two mausers, or other units to suit your needs.

Seems odd that the Germans have no anti-tank units (not even Panzerfaust or Panzerschrek) - knocking out those two Shermans will be tough...

The shermans can't go up the bluffs, only through the gulley in the center of the map. It makes them vulnerable to mines + close assault. The shermans would have no chance of survival against fausts.

yes lost of mine fields+even Mausers = death to shermans...

I think though if the allied get the first turn the Axis is in for alot of trouble..

atleast I can field everything in the build ;)

Yes, they should be BAR Gunners, not Sherman, fixing now. I should know something else will go wrong when the maps work out quickly.

Nice scenario. The Shermans can be deathly in this scenario, but also the mines.

Anyone can answet this?

Inf climbs cliffs if they make a movement roll, I think. Tanks no. That means you have to get your tanks up the bottleneck, through the mines, past the pillboxes, and through a wall of infantry. I foresee dead things everywhere.

Bluffs are in the new rulebook. Vehicles cannot pass through a bluff hex but infantry can on a movement roll. With this map, you need to use a little common sense when trying to figure out LOS with multiple bluffs.

That bottleneck looks like a shermans doom....

The bottleneck will be a shermans doom. I do love that there is a great amount of scenario support for this game. The only thing I don't like is that I can't print off the map and live in the middle of nowhere so I can't get the maps printed from stores. Thats why I would like them to make map packs. This along with others are some great scenarios that I would like to play.

There's no place to hide the Shermans until you could clear the only available approach. Can you say Sherman parts everywhere? :D
"Right lads, protect the tanks at all costs."
"What's that Sarge, I couldn't hear you over the sound of the mines exploding."
"Errr, protect those smoking piles of metal boys. Oh, and while we're at it lets take over that crossroad and some towns."
"Okay Sarge, you first."
