I believe its release date is somewhere in the early 2007s. It would take the "place" of the next AAM Set.

I really hope they make the games compatible so you can play a huge game with aircraft, naval units and tanks and soldiers also... that would be a really fun campaign...

I just think the scale of AAM is not very good for that sort of thing. Most people just don't grasp the scale we are talking about. If you wanted to play some kind of Tarwa invasion or something I expect you'd need 150 Amtracks.

3 Amtracks and 6 Higgins I have, so there is hope to be able to field that.

Polish: you must not do the battle 1-1, but playing out a naval battle before a naval landing would be fun, especially if we can get a mechanic that lets us determine how the naval battle influenced the land battle (some units did not make it to the beach, planes meant to bomb the island were shot down at sea .... I also like the idea of having a naval battle as the first part of a scenario and having it transfer to the land map for the 2nd part, that is very doable and reasonable.

Doing it on the same map? Well, thats a bit cheesy because of the scale. A higgins boat will likely be the same size as a battleship in scale(just a guess) but having the navies fight it out will be very realisitic for a Pacific scenario like Guadalcanal. When the Japanese would have the edge, they could deliver reinforcements and was the reason for their eventual withdrawl because they could not hold the surrounding waters nor the airfield and it played out just like that.

That would be a lot of fun. You might win the naval battle but lose the ground war.
