Is there anything special about campaign scenarios that happens in between fights? Or are they just a series of scenarios strung together by the authors?

Generally just a series of scenarios.

Might be a good idea for a future scenario series - such as the "Penetration of Kampfgroup Pieper" during the Ardennes campaign...

When the game first came out we played a series of scenerios and the winner got an additional 25 points to buy any unit they wanted fpr the next battle. We had a 50 point limit so one side could not get more than 50 additional points over the other.

I think you should have allowed both sides an additional points for reinforcements for each additional scenario, but each side would not be allowed to use any units they lost in any of the prior scenarios.

I would love to have something that strings together, including repair yards, increasing experience ect, it would be very combursome though.

During the discussion/rant about medics and repair vehicles there was a suggestion that perhaps these units might be used between scenarios rather than as on board units. At the end of a scenario you roll a die for each damaged armour unit and any destroyed inf unit. If a tank rolls a 5 or 6 it is repaired and may be used as new in the next scenario. If you blow the roll then the unit starts the next scenario damaged. With infantry it's the same thing. If you roll a 4-6 then the unit has been patched up and reinforced to return it to functionality. If you blow that roll then the unit is disbanded and cannot be used in the next scenario.

Since a campaign really isn't in the A&AM rules, I wouldn't expect WOTC to make units that couldn't be used in their game. Especially, since they would get to many complaints about wasted units.
However, there is nothing from stopping any of us from house ruling great ideas like this in a campaign.

Thanks, but that's the older version - the new one is here: http://boards.avalonhill.com/showthread.php?p=134660
Though I'm going to revise it some more eventually. Too many things to do lately.
