Question regarding pre-req's?

I just got the game, and I get most of it, but I do have one question so far. Do rooms have to be attached to their pre-requisite, or does it just have to be in play on the board? For example, does the Dragon Room have to be attached to the Fancy slots room, or do you just have to have a Fancy Slots room in play somewhere. Thanks!

Only the Nightclub is required to be attached specifically to a certain room (either a Lounge or Fancy Lounge), as stated on the tile itself. For other rooms, you only need to have the pre-requisite room legally-placed somewhere in your layout.

Otherwise, it would be quite difficult to attach a 5-Star Steakhouse to a Fancy Restaurant if the FR had to be attached to a Restaurant, and has no additional doorway out of it.
