Armchair Generals,

I am deeply troubled by the apparent lack of interest in October's Contest Corner.

Have I missed the mark? Is the contest too difficult?

I have yet to receive 1 entry!

Please raise my spirits by participating :)!

it is designing a 153 point Japanese army to defeat a known in advance 111 point American army. That seems pretty easy to do if you ask me.

time? hell, you could design a 153 point Japanese army that could defeat a 111-point US army by randomly grabing your cards.

GraphCorp:

I would think that in order to defeat a known army, one would first be required to know what that army is?

Or is there a somantic in there that is being missed?

Clarify and I'll submit a build. Oh, Hell, never mind. I'll just go re-read the October Frontline News and find it myself. *L* That's an e-zine that's never NOT worth a re-read! Good thing it doesn't have actual covers and pages to get worn. *S*

I just read through all the issues--it's really great, even for those who don't play with the HHrules. The maps on the site are tasty! I want to order one.

It's a difficult contest, especially because it is suggested that you more or less have to whipe out 33% of the US army in the first turn!
I gave it al lot of thought and just let it rest for a week, but I sure will sent in an army before october 20.

I took that to mean on your first real attack, not necessarily the first turn.
