You asked for it and so here it is:
Favorite Theater Poll 2.0!
This is a multiple choice poll.
And don't be a knucklehead and select everything.
I've included as many Fronts and Theaters as possible.
Eastern Europe - Includes Russia Front, Scandinavia, Blitzkrieg
Western Europe - Includes Atlantic battles, D-Day, Blitzkrieg
Southern Europe - Includes Italy, Greece, Slavic States
North Africa - Includes African & Middle East battles
Mediterranean - Includes Sicily, Crete, Malta, etc
C/B/I - Includes China, Burma, India, Manchuria
Pacific Ocean - Includes Philippines, Guam, Midway, Okinawa, Aleutians, etc
Oceania - Includes Australia, Dutch East Indies, New Guinea, Solomon Is.
None Of The Above - All those miscellaneous battles
All Theaters - Check this instead of everything seperately
Those are your choices. If I've missed something, please post it.
No complaining please.
AND THANK YOU FOR VOTING !
Thanks to Krimsomstarr for the support. ;)

There's just too many choices for me. I went with "all of the above". I really like this game and try to play it as often as I can no matter what theatre/year.

We need a poll to see if this Favorite Theater 2.0 poll is what the membership wants.
Oh, and another poll to decide the spelling, Theater or Theatre? :D

Historically i like every theatre
each one has its own "thing"
the war against with Germany changed land warfare forever
massive tank battles(e.g. Kursk), infantry way of battles, etc.
against Japan you have huge naval and air fights, outstanding
defeats and uncomplishments
but in game terms, i have to go with a overall european battles

does this include naval battles? or just land battles like in axis and allies mini? :)

I chose Western Europe because I have a family connection to this Field of Battle. Both my Grandfathers fought in that area. I also know it better than other areas since this is what my education, as basic as it is, focussed. Northern Afrika also caught my attention but it doesn't seem to me to be quite as epic.

Yes. All theaters include naval battles as well as land & air battles.
Do you really think that they used tanks to sail the Pacific? :D

I chose Eastern Europe for the same reasons that Cannonfodder did. I had a grandfather and some uncles that fought there (same with my wife's relatives). While Eastern is my first choice, I do like playing battles from other threaters as well.

I must say my favorite has to be the war in Manchuria. Its not talked about in the west but when you get here you see that the war had just as much of an impact here as it did anywhere in Europe and thats why it is so interesting.

What is Mediterranean in a ground combat game that is not Western Europe, Southern Europe, Eastern Europe, or North Africa?
Sicily? Malta? Cyprus? Wow that is pretty specific.

This poll is about all of WWII, not just A&AM. And please read the second sentence of the third paragraph.

Technically, selecting "All Of The Above" would include "None Of The Above". Whoever selects "All Of The Above" is contradicting themselves.

Maybe just maybe this will finally prove that a stand-alone A&Agame that does NOT feature Americans will also generate good sales ( Stalingrad, Kursk,Barbarossa....). It seems to me the Eastern front is extremely popular! So, Bring it on guys! After Battle of the Bulge. Speaking of B of B, when are we getting previews for that?

Try "articles" on the Axis & Allies home page. There are three design articles already!

Snicker! Did you notice that the three NONE voters actually did also vote for specific theathers :D
I really would like that after a few general sets we will get "specific" battle sets (for AA we have the basic game then the two Europe /pacific sets and now single battles - I hope they do that for AAM too - Stalingrad or Kursk for AA would be oin my whish list - do not like Bulge and D-Day)

'None of the above' is for any battles I didn't list. It doesn't necessarily mean no battle whatsoever. If you're confused, join the club. We have T-shirts. :D

Alright then. Take a plain white T-shirt, a red marker, and write CLUB CONFUSED on the front.
