Seems 4 dice (52% chance of success) might make sense on G1. If you get it (and one more gun), you can hit russia twice and UK once -- expected loss of 10.5 pts/turn.

I haven't picked up a copy yet, but a turn 1 purchase of more than one dice always seemed unsound to me in original AA. I'd rather have a few troops on the front before emarking on such an endeavour (remember you get nothing 48% of the time and then you'll really miss those 6 infantry)
