Hey john, it's easy to come up with an Axis strategy. ATTACK!! and do it fast!
OK, there you go. let me know if you have any other problems.

OK, seriously, I will give you my points on an Axis strategy.
Now, first of all, I don't believe in giving exact details, like move said tranny to such and such seazone or attack with indochina fighter 1 into persian territory on turn 2. OK, that's stuff for you to handle.

From the few games I've played, I've seen a definite strategy from the Axis which basically consist of getting Japan onto the Asian mainland, and the quicker the better.
For Japan, place an IC in one of their holdings, or just shoot over units by bridging transports. Doesn't matter, both works well. China should go down in the first turn.
Once you have a couple of tanks ashore, open up on Russia from Manchuria, or do an amph from Japan, doesn't matter how, just do it as soon as you can. From there, it is a race to Moscow.
Now, while that is going on, send some navy south to threaten or attack Australia and or India. Hopefully Calcutta will go down by the end of turn 4.

Meanwhile, Germany should be fighting Russia like the dickens. If the UK brings her Royal Navy into range, go after it with the Lutwafe and UBoats. Don't fight to hard for Africa either. Send what you can to harass the Allies, but don't get caught up in a slugfest down there. You need more men headed to Moscow than you do East Africa.
Even if the UK heavily supplies Russia, (and it probably will try), Russia should go down by the end of turn 6. Then it is hold your breath time for Paris. With any luck you should hold and the game is over with 9 VCs.
If you are playing for more than that, then really hope for the best, because the game will be more baised to Allies and said strategy might not work.
Good luck and happy hunting. docd.
