A Note on Set V Distribution...and other thoughts

My case arrived today. UPS said the 13th so no complaints there. Overall got most of what I wanted. Boosters can fill what I didn't.

The distribution was odd though.

1) Soviet M3 Lee
2) Centurian (needs a little trimming on how the gun fits in but that's ok. I mod)
3) Type 3 Chi-Nu
4) Panther Ausf. D
5) ME 262 (I want more and will paint this as my first plane mod...camo)
6) IS-3 (oof!)
7) Kawanishi NIK-J
8) SU-152
9) Kawanishi NIK-J
10) SU-152
11) Gloster Meteor
12) Type 3 Chi-Nu

Emmmm the need to buy more cases to get a full set :rolleyes:

The duplicates method makes more sense though. Especially for any kind of booster draw tournaments. For once I agree with their new changes. They just didnt do it for planes which may be better.

What are the Lee stats btw?

Set II was a flop for me on that part, ending up with 4 T-26 in 2 cases.

Overall I have to say that the quality is a whole lot better. In some cases it surprised me: Entrenched Antitank gun, Light Antitank gun (Hungarian), Recoiless Rifle (picture this w/ fighting platform)

Distribution was the only thing that tripped me up.

But I got my Fallshirmjaegers, ME 262, IS-3, Panther (!!!), Nebelwerfer...list goes on.

I will certainly trade off a Japanese tank and possible a Japanese plane. Maybe even a SU-152.

In a booster pull game I saw a guy pull two Brumbars once. Another fellow from our local store bought a case and got 4 Tiger Is in it. I think its a little chinese guy conspiracy. :cool:

7 points less than the original from the first set.
It trades Strike & Fade 1 for Transport.
Not a bad trade. Transport is cool. Getting to spend 7 more extra points is even cooler.

Firefly and Serenity rocks! I heard about Serenity when it was coming out and then I saw a couple episodes on SciFi and was intrigued. I don't own the series but I've seen it and Serenity. I really like that show. Action packed, funny. I just didn't like how the pilot (name escapes me now) dies in Serenity. That sucked...

Anyway I might be trading away my Soviet M3 Lee's if I get any.

Absolutely perfect.

The Meteor OTOH has curved wings. I'll heat & straighten them. Kind of white too...needs some moderate camo by the pics I have on hand.

The quality IMO is much better with a few gaffs. Nothing unfixable. More attention to detail this time around for the most part.

I get my fix tomorrow....hopefully out o 18 boosters I get a pair of 262's/corsairs :D ....was in the shop today....saw the boosters on the wall but they would not sell me them :(........had a "Kramer" like thought of running out of the place whilst chucking them $16 (must pay gst) and fleeing on foot while yelling " you wont deny me reserves early you fascist!!!!) :eek:

** You got doubles of 6 pieces and none of the others? Doesn't mean much though, just that the little Chinese kid filled your boosters oddly..... Anyways, every case I've seen opened here is pretty well balanced. Out of my own two I'm only missing the meteor. But I guess that's a fair trade for getting 3 Me-262s..... :)

I'll be getting the case and a 1/2 that I'm buying tomorrow morning, but I happened to be by my LGS earlier this evening. Picked up 4 x German paras., 5 x Rangers and 3 x PzKpfw 38(t) all for the price of a single booster pack. Not a bad deal I figure :) It was all I could do not to pick up the lone Me-262 that was just hanging there all by itself on the wall peg - calling out my name ;) Hopefully I get one tomorrow . . . . .
