Hiya WotC Bob, sorry to bother you with this, but I would just like to clarify which wording for Blast is correct:

(a) the wording from the revised errata posted here under Important Clarifications which says "Blast (special ability): When a unit with this ability attacks, it makes a separate attack against each Soldier and Vehicle in the target hex. Friendly Soldiers and Vehicles -- as well as boarded units and units with the Camouflaged and Superior Camouflage special abilities -- in the hex are also affected. Roll your attacks against each unit separately. If the targets are in defensive terrain, cover rolls are made for them separately. A unit with this ability uses it even when making defensive fire attacks."

or (b) the wording found on the new Reserves cards which reads: "When this unit attacks, make a separate attack roll against each Soldier and Vehicle in the target hex. (This includes friendly units, but not Aircraft.)" So far, I am aware that this text is on the Nebelwerfer 42 stat card; not sure if there are any other units from Reserves with the Blast SA.

Do I take it that the latest SA wording on a given stat card is the benchmark to be used? (for example, the Blast on D-Day's Churchill AVRE unit is identical to (b) above, but neglects to mention the bit about Aircraft. Don't worry - I've been using all the rules in (a) as well!

Many thanks in clearing this up! :)

Both definitions apply. The wording on the stat card is kept short so that it fits on the card. The longer definition in the Clarifications thread is the same as a glossary entry in the rulebook -- longer and with more details. Both of them state the same thing, however, just in different forms.

Wee, so it is. That's great, WotC Bob, thank you.
