Hey,
Just wondering how the rangers "lead the way" and ammo dump work in conjunction

If i have an ammo dump and a ranger in play during assult phase

My thinking is - Ranger attacks - short range, 9 dice
rolls: 1,1,2,2,3,4,5,6,6

Now, since its my assult phase i choose to activate the "lead the way" ability
I re-roll a dice that was a 2, It comes up a 1 on the re-roll

I then activate ammo dump SA and re-roll the 3 1's i got (2 from "first" roll, and 1 from lead the way re-roll)

OR
do i roll 9 dice, reroll the 1's and then lead the way after that? (only good if you rolled all sucess's and 1's {no 2's or 3's})

It seems to me that leading the way first is better if you can reroll a non-1, as if you roll a 1 on the reroll, it will be ammo dump rerolled again

Alternativly if you have no non-1 dice to re-roll that are misses (eg All 1's and NO 2's OR 3's), the ammo dump first and lead the way second on any miss dice

Please confirm that this is correct
the active player can determine SA order and hence can lead the way and then ammo dump re-roll all 1's

the active player can determine SA order and hence can lead the way and then ammo dump re-roll all 1'sNot exactly. When two or more things are slated to happen simultaneously, the active player gets to choose their order. Just because two SAs both take effect at some point after a die has been rolled doesn't necessarily make them simultaneous. That's just a bit of hair splitting to cover one of the finer points in these rules that sometimes gets missed.

Regarding your question, though, your statement does apply. As the acting player, you can decide whether to invoke Lead the Way before Plentiful Ammo or vice versa.
