Butch where did you hear about these new installments for A&A?

I would loe to try Midway

I am also partial to a Guadalcanal combined Land and Sea game!!!

Not enough is told about these actions and how the likes of DESRON 21 cleared the slot!

Just guessing the follow ons to D-Day. Battle of the Bulge would be a good one too.

I would think some battle involving sea/land units would be next...

Guadalcanal would be an excellent suggestion...
An Italy-only game would be fascinating...

Or, what I think AH should do is for example, if they make a Battle of the Bulge game, they should include a big map of France, BeNeLux, and some parts of western Germany.

That map combination would allow a 1939 Scenario, a 1944 America clearing France scenario, and a 1944-1945 German Battle of the Bulge scenario..

If AH "officialy" does that, I think it would attract a large number of gamers. Victory conditions, of course, would be different than A&A... Maybe Victory Cities might play a part, or the victory scenario might be that one side has to hold X for a certain amount of turns, other side trying to take and hold it for 2 turns. Alternatively, a VP victory scenario could work.

I think AH could have done this for the D-Day game by including the Dieppe area and having a Dieppe scenario... More options, more playability!

I have a few ideas for some new A&A games. Since they have complete games on the World War, Europe and Pacific, they should now design games with certain aspects of the main games.

Amphibious Assault: D-Day--due out in MAY
Land Battle: Battle of the Bulge
Sea Battle: Leyte Gulf or Midway
Air Battle: Battle of Britain

Land Campaign: Stalingrad
Sea Campaign: Guadalcanal
Air Campaign: The 8th Air Force

Amphibious Assault for Pacific gamers: Iwo Jima 60th anniversary of that battle next year

I could go on and on...battle of the atlantic, hunt for the bismarck, attack on pearl harbor, a phillipines campaign.

Utilizing the A&A system for the main games and D-day, there is practically no limit to different battles or campaigns that avalon hill can create.

Hunt for the Bismark would be an interesting game.
