Has anyone had any consistent strategies for pushing that frontline West?

Just curious if fellow Axis players have had success trying to roll up a particular flank (Northern or Southern), or do you just try to recreate history with a bigger "bulge" in the gut of the Allied line?

Also, I am wondering if players are opting to concentrate forces in a few hexes and attack a single hex with each one, or are you dividing your forces to attack multiple hexes? Same questions goes for movement/reinforcement. Are you concentrating or really spreading out that battle line?

I know that strategies and tactics are best when anticipating and adapting to your opponents plan, but I'd still like to hear about any strategic trends that have emerged thus far...

I try to plug a hole in the North or center. Both because of the values and connection of roads. I never blitz tanks because they allways get mauled by the retreat kill trick or by airpower which typically gets only one AA roll against the tanks. However allways take empty hexes because even if the allies kill the infantry you still will gain on the ensuing movement phase. Bastonge must fall in order to win. I would keep a picked line of infantry up front and the goodies in large stacks at every so many hexes.

If you place air units after the enemy... its a waste to use the german bomber against allied air units and vice versa. I use bombers to kill concentrations of artillery and tanks with as few AA rolls as possible. I leave infantry alone for the most part. Killing german trucks is the most important thing for the allies to do. They rank in importance as much as those 2 russian planes do in 2nd edition AA.
