A&A Minis Set VI Speculations

I couldn't agree with you more on your thoughts. N. Africa has some very interesting and much needed units.

An Italian Hero? Oh no wait we already got one. I'm hoping for a ton of new british units. It sucks when you only get 3 units, two of which are rares, and all 3 of which are 1945, one of which really can't be used cause it was after the war! Matildas! We need Matildas. And Australian units.

I believe Set VI is going to be centered around the Pacific because it will follow the release of War at Sea. So I'm thinking a couple of Aussies, lots of Brits, lots of Americans, and 7-8 Japanese units.

Other than aircraft, what else can you give the Japanese? Set I really gave them a nice selection to start with. Transport unit? Lunge mines? AT guns? They will need something that is realistic but has an increased power over the previously released units.

What would you guess would be the 7-8 units?

My guesses/hopes as to Japanese units:

1) Another plane (r)
2) Imperial Cavalry (c)
3) Mountain artillery w/ indirect fire (c)
4) Forward Observer/Lookout (u)
5) Antitank Fanatic - some kind of infantry with higher AT values (c)
6) Ho-Ha Armored Personnel Carrier (u)
7) AA Gun (c)
8) Veteran Ha-Go, Ho-Ni or Chi-Ha (r)
9) Fortress Defender-like unit
10) another commander

Also a fortification that cannot be attacked until the unit inside fires from it.

How do you know this?

I believe it has been leaked on this board. I would not say it is 100% but it is a pretty good bet that Set VI will have about 2 Japanese units.

I would like to see pacific also. However only 2 rares for the major axis power is not enough. I think we would see at least 3 for Japan. This would also be a great oportunity to introduce the CCP with Chinese soldiers that don't run away when they hear a gun shot.

For the Nationalist Chinese, you could also have some 3 point German-trained (still Allied, though) divisions with German helmets, a light ATG, a light mortar, and an Sd Kfz 222 with Unreliable or Prone to Breakdown.

And of course you could have CCP Guerillas and a CCP Captain.

I doubt we will see all of these, but we'll probably see a few.

I would like to see:

Chinese/ Flying Tiger (P-40) with the SA called Head On in which the P-40 gets five extra attack dice if it is attacking a plane head on. After the attack the P-40 receives a disruption counter.

German/ Sturm Tiger to take care of infantry.
German/ Panzer I for historical games.
German/ Veteran Fallschirmager just because.
German. Kubelwagon because we need a basic transport that looks cool.

Japanese anti- air, anything will do, just something related to anti-air.

Terrain called battle trenches that work similiar to pillboxes except they can hold two units instead of one.

Different types of minefields.

Also, I think the Japanese need a SB MG team of their own. They were on the defense a lot when the U.S. got majorly into the fight.

Yeah there is a secret testing ground in a small NZ town called Paeroa. In this place they have a giant L&P bottle that is really a V2. When NZ is threatened by invaders the missile will launch and destroy the beehive so that no one can can steal all the tui and speights.
