This question came up today and I do not see the answer in the Official FAQ:

The rulebook states that you can use an extra supply token to blitz a tank an extra hex when it normally would end its movement. It specifically mentions that you can do this while in an enemy ZOC.

The rulebook does not, however, specifically mention blitzing in respect to another situation that stops tanks: entering an empty enemy controlled town outside of the enemy's ZOC. Can you use an extra supply token to blitz German tanks past a town west of the frontline? Or do they have to stop for the remainder of the movement/reinforcement phase because the roads in town are "clogged"?

In order to play it safe, we decided that tanks could not blitz past enemy towns, but I'd like to get an official opinion.

Tanks can indeed blitz after moving into an enemy-controlled city. The blitz action simply adds one hex to a Tank's movement, regardless of why that movement ended.

Thanks for the answer. Could you add that question to the FAQ?

We'll see. I want to wait a little while before adding anything, unless something really major comes up.
