And all of the South Dakota 1917 ships were scrapped in the 1920s, according to the provisions of the Washington Naval Treaty.

"Battleships" well depend wich way you are looking at it since i think some like the H.M.S. Hood was in fact a battle cruiser and not a Battleship like the Prince of Whales was. Italian had the Battleship Vitorio Veneto etc.... Still a good list thanks ! And hope the game will be great !

Can't wait :) !

Belisarius, they never even had a chance to get off the plan sheet, IIRC.

For the QE's, add Barham and Malaya. I know one of the QE's didn't get the 1920s/30s modernization refit, but can't remember which. I'll check the database later, but most of my efforts were trying to ferret out cruisers and smaller...

The Kilkis and Lemnos were both the old US Idaho class, I think #3 was scrapped; these were the only US-built battlewagons sold to a foreign flag as I recall.

Didn't a US BB get sold to a S. American country? I think one did but I cannot recall the name.

Not to pick nits, but the South Dakota-class (1917) did get past the plan sheet. None of them were completed, but construction was well under way before they were scrapped. Their keels were laid in 1920, and construction wasn't halted until 1922.

The Kilkis and the Lemnos were the old Mississippi-class pre-dreadnaughts, USS Mississippi (Kilkis) and USS Idaho (Lemnos).

The Barham didn't get the modernization that the rest of the Queen E's did, notably the anti-torpedo bulgers.

Early on in the war, she was torpedoed by a U-Boat in the Med and sank with most of her crew.

There was the Agincourt, a WWI BB built for Argentina but taken over by the Royal Navy in WWI.14x12" guns. There was also the Goeben, a German WWI battlecruiser that was caught in the Med at the beginning of WWI, & which was 'sold' to the Turkish Navy (as the Yavuz Sultan Selim), but was more of a gift to help convine them to enter the war on Germanys side.

Sort of...the US built 2 battleships for Argentina (Rivadavia Class, completed 1914-15) which were very similar to the Wyoming class, the main difference being the Argentine ships had 2 of its twin 12" mounts in wing turrets instead of all on the centerline.Modernized, they served into th mid 1950s.
