From the FAQ:

Can you waste Supplies with useless actions, say by paying two Supply tokens to move a Tank out of a hex, then blitz it right back into the hex? This would be an easy way for the Allies to keep supplies from falling into German hands.
Yes, destroying supplies before they fall into enemy hands is always possible (with limited results of course).

So, when you play BotB, do you, as the allied player, destroy supplies during retreat, if possible? Specifically, the stash at St. Vith?

And, I'm not sure I understand the "with limited results, of course" from the quote above.

I've been playing the game where the players are allowed to destroy (overuse, waste, what ever you want to call it) supplies if there is a unit in the space with the supplies.

Thoughts?

"With limited results" to me means sometimes you'd like to burn all of the supply, but the parameters of the game mechanics is only going to let you waste so much.

That's correct. In other words, you can't simply say you're destroying Supplies and remove them from the board, since the rules don't allow it. You can, however, use them legitimately within the rules, even if that use is obviously a total waste. This represents destroying them "with limited results".
