What slots are each piece/token supposed to go in?

I can't find a reference anywhere that shows/explains what pieces are supposed to go in each compartment. Can someone help please?

My pacific set has a marker of nationality on the bottom of three of the four holding bins. I usually put all the peices of each nationality in each bin minus chips, AA guns and factorys. I have ziplock bags to store those in seperatly.

I have found that the best way is divide the pieces by type (infantry, artillery/armor, air and ships) and put each type in a separate compartment. It is a lot easier to find a specific piece that way, since the colors set them off from each other.

If you dont want to use ziploc bags for the white units put them in the un-marked tray.
