Does anyone use obstacles much in 100 point games? I don't see much mention made of them on the boards. I had a game awhile back where I had a sniper in a pillbox with a Stuart right up on him for 4 or 5 turns in a row and the Stuart never got more than a disrupt on my sniper. It was an assault scenario I lost as the defender, but that part of it was kinda funny.
2 Wire pieces for one point seems like a good deal if you want to try to "box" out the objective somewhat from your opponents infantry. Or at least make his/her approach a little tricky.
Pillboxes seem like an obviously good buy for AT guns, mortars, support units and such.
The tank obstacles seem like they could be a little hit or miss unless you take more than a couple. My least favorite of the four.
I kinda have been taking a liking to the minefields recently. They seem especially attractive as you can use them in a reactionary way in a game situation to hinder either soldiers or vehicles in a key moment as the game dictates. I kinda like that ability to react to the game as it progresses as opposed to having to place the other obstacles in the deployment phase, maybe without knowing your opponents build, which can be somewhat hit or miss.
