I left out the T-34/76, Vet. Rhino and the M4A1 because they are obvious winners. This Poll is to see who else is getting consistently played. Your Opinions?

I voted Hetzer. I would have put Brummbar 2nd. Then I'd have put Stug 3rd but you didn't include it. Then M4A3 (105) would be my 4th place. (assuming no sherman or rhino of course).

The Hetzer is the better one, of those who are on the list. Also, the Brumbar is very good, a close second.

I voted for the Char B1 bis because I play a lot of early war games and the ol' Char B1 trounces German tanks regularly in 1940.

There wasn't room to include every tank in the lower price ranges so I tried to have a good selection. I voted calliope but my prefs probably go more like this:
1.Brummbar
2.Calliope/Firefly
3.Hetzer

The Char-Bis is the best tank in 1939. Sherman got my vote

I love the Jagdpanzer IV, no idea why I just do. Probably because I have an awesomely customized one in forest camo.

You forgot the Archer. On that note, i picked the Cromwell 4. Great tank for its points and the vanguard ability helps out a lot.

I went with the Panzer G. An all around solid tank.

Bah, Tapped Hetzer instead of my Intended Jagdpanzer /48. (Though I do like the little Hetzer)

With Superior armor +2 and +1 on cover rolls it can cause some grief.

Calliope, hands down. The only Rockets in the game that aren't innacurate, Rocket Salvo, and great numbers vs Inf and Armour. I just wish I had more of them. Oh yeah, and relatively mobile too.

Its a tough call on this one...I'd have to say that the Calliope, Vet Sherman and Hetzer are on the top of my list. Too hard to pick. I voted sherman because there are several shermans that are good in this point range.

I voted for the Firefly (HHR stats).

Yeah well it's a tie between the Cromwell IV for me of the Sherman Firefly. The Cromwell at 22pts packs a good punch and has nice armor. The major advantage is the Vanguard ability which lets you move 4 hex before the first initiative is rolled. The big problem with that is in the fact that, yes it's great to take the objective fast, but sometimes you don't want to put your tank in a danger zone quickly like that without having the chance to see where your opponent is going. The thing is; he gets to see where YOU are going pretty soon.

The Firefly is an awesome tank but I agree that HHR made the right decision regarding giving it the "extended range 12" special ability. All of the 17pdr guns in the game have extended range 10 at least ( 12 for the Centurion in reserves). Why didn't the firefly get it? :( It is clearly said in the flavor text that it used a 17pdr and blablabla. It's still a good tank ( Shermanesque good) with a little more flavor ( a 17pdr strapped to it).

So my vote you ask? The firefly. Mostly because it's cooler hahaha.

I voted for the AVRE, but I have to admit that's mainly because I've seen waht it can do to obstacles ( ignore them!) a couple of times...Hmmm, it's been a while since I played miniatures actually ( been playing a lot of BoB and W@W lately), but doesn't it also remove those obstacles, giving all your other units free passage too?

My vote was for the M4 Sherman T-34 Calliope. It's not the best AT gun, but, it can hold it's own. 5/4/ defense is average. Speed 3 is a bit slow for this catagory. But it shines in the Anti-infantry attack with no cover and the potential to hit seven hexes in one attack. Sweet!

This is a tough choice because each of these tanks present strengths that can be maximized. For example is the M4 T-34 really that much better than the Hetzer with two panzerfausts (which total 30pts)? The American is one target where the opponent could get multiple hits and eliminate it quickly. The Hetzer choice present three targets with a significantly improved AT punch.

This is perhaps the main reason I enjoy this game so much, I can pick and choose a variety of pieces to match and compliment various strengths to make a whole assult force.

I went with the Brumbar. It's devastating to infantry and the number of times I've seen Allied tank hits just bounce off that front armor is unbelieveable.
