With the discussion of planes, let's start a detailed discussion. Specifically, by nation, which planes do you want to see. I'm going to list the more poplular aircraft for each nation that has yet to appear in this game. Of course, you can offer other considerations.

Voted Stuka, but would also like to get the Bf 109G, but the Finnish version :D

I voted for the JU-87B. A H-129 would be the only other German airplane that I'd like to see. The ME-262 was a stretch for this game. A high altitude jet interceptor...attacking men and tanks. What?!?!? Let's keep this on the ground, guys.

I'd like to see all of the above at one time or other ( wishful thinking?), but it's obvious that the early war Stuka is the symbol of the Luftwaffe in general. Isn't that why they chose it to be the " fighter" piece in the regular A&A games?:)

Early War Stuka, for sure. Although if you're desperate enough and have an exacto knife, you can make yourself one now.
I want a 1939 Ju-87B dive bombing Stuka.

I'm gonna take a different angle and actually lobby for the Storch.
Imagine...an aircraft that may be slow and have minimal combat dice, but would be really inexpensive and could spot for Artillery units.

Definitely the Storch.... it would have to have the "Spotter" ability.

That's what I was thinking. Give it "Aerial Spotter" SA, and let it spot units out to 8 hexes.

i picked Junkers Ju-87B or D "Stuka" because i like it.

Eight hexes in far too little. I'd allow it to have unhinidered sight to anything in a clear hex. If something is in cover, then it would have to be within eight hex range.

I want an early war stuka very very badly. One that will destroy infantry. That would be awesome.

Good idea there, J.L. Of course, then we would need spotter aircraft for the UK and USA. The Storch could also be armed. I believe the Storch was also considered as a carrier plane.
I would vote for just one German aircraft per booster. Also, the Me-163 shouldn't be in this game at all, except maybe as a suicide ground attack plane. Me-163 crashes into a hex, blows up - hmm, that's pretty close to historically accurate, but the blowing up usually came first.

I think Germany has enough planes. You would think that they had air superiority. Give the planes to the minor countries and go easy on the german units.

Well, an early war stuka is the only thing that Germany is really missing.

I think the Germans are good at this point with planes. But if they must get a plane, I would say an early war Stuka as well.

I really think that Germany has enough planes in the set except for the early war Stuka.

Ta- 152 Pretty much one of, if not the best single engined propeller plane ever made. Had too few numbers in which could help alter the war though.

This is a game about soldiers and tanks, in which aircraft make an impact basically as ground-attack types. The Hs 129 is arguably one of the three most important ground attack aircraft in history [the other 2 being the Stuka and Shturmovik]. The Hs 129's design is also thought to have contributed majorly to the A-10 Warthog concept.
