Hello,

About one week ago I wrote up a post alluding to the home brew rules we've been playing. Like AAM, the game is hex-based, and while the stacking and LOS rules are very similar there are some mechanics that differ radically. My goals while creating this game were to promote a simple game that plays quickly like AAM, but a game that is pretty like a traditional table top miniatures game with lots of boots on the ground and properly scaled minis.

The tank minis are all from Battlefront. The infantry minis are a combination of Battlefront and AAM minis that have been remounted.

Hope you enjoy the pics:

Sweet. While I can't approve of using non-AAM miniatures ;), it has a nice, clean look.

Good job!! It looks like a fun time. What rules did you use for your battle?

The rules are home-grown. After a few more months of play testing, my plan is to release it for online distribution. I won't give up anymore details until that time ;)

The hex game mat is from Hotz mats http://www.hotzmats.com/. We use 4 inch hexes.

The hills are from Kallistra http://www.kallistra.co.uk/

Probably not a good idea to discuss plans to distribute a new game in a future competitor's forum...

I should have been clearer with my post in this regard. The rules will be distributed for free. Nobody makes money selling rules anyways, it's the minis that bring in the cash :)

I enjoyed the pictures, but your blog reference to Arizona didn't win you any friends out here.

Of course, if I wasn't so busy smoking meth and gambling I might have taken offense. :D :p

The blog spot was written to get under the skin of my fellow Midwesterners who constantly complain of the cold. I'm glad you were able to take it in jest :)
