It would be cool if there was some kind of expert ruling on obstacles,
maybe they could treat the pillbox as a transport, instead of cover at +1
treating tank obstacles as cover would please some people.
for minefields on a roll of one score two successes or two hits whichever is worse.

Huh?? I don't get it. How is a pillbox going to transport anything?

I wouldn't mind seeing rules in which units actually need to be present in the location to place obstacles. For example: an infantry unit uses its action in the assault phase to lay down barbed wire instead of magically beaming it there before the battle.

Pillbox transporter. Beam one soldier anywhere safely on the map.
I thought that would be obvious to everybody. Geez.

I'm not quite following you on the pillbox "beaming mechanism" there Eric. :) You get enough sleep last night?
I don't think tank obstacles giving cover to infantry is too much of a stretch.
I love the minefield rule though. It makes people think again about just rolling through...2 hits on a 60+ piece with a 2 point piece is nice! Even if it only happens what...16% of the time or something like that? We actually played with this rule (plus the mines locations were hidden in a way from the other team) and the mine took out a jeep. Not great but still more realistic than saying it has a flat tire or is scared.
