Unfortunately WotC employees do get some time off every now and then.

Perhaps instead of waiting you should look at the Links to Commonly Asked Questions (http://boards.avalonhill.com/showthread.php?t=11328), or more specifically at Overun V's defensive fire (http://boards.avalonhill.com/showthread.php?t=7413), Transport (http://boards.avalonhill.com/showthread.php?t=7518), and Road bonuses (http://boards.avalonhill.com/showthread.php?t=7596) which answer all of your questions.

Also there's the Advanced Rulebook (http://www.wizards.com/avalonhill/rules/AAM_RuleBook.pdf).

Sometimes if you've only breezed through the book (like me) you tend to misunderstand or miss things. Simply re-reading the section in question, no matter how well you think you understand it, will reveal the answer. I have now carfully read through the book as I noticed this pattern apearing.
