How many WAS starters and boosters have you preordered?

I finally decided waht to order. I ordered two starter sets and three cases of boosters. After I see what the mix is I may order more booster cases. I will order two more starters later.

I'm still on the fence. I'm thinking my AAM started innocently enough with 1 starter and 1 booster. But 7 or so cases and numerous e-bay acquisitions later, I'm a little hesitant.

I was thinking of starting with 1 case & 1 starter just to get the feel for it. If the game play is good, then maybe I would try to fill out the set.

I would like to know how many sets are planned, how long between sets.

I have pre-ordered a case and a starter from an online vendor and another case and a starter from my local shop.

I like to help out where I play, but I'm not made of money either. ;-)

None, I'm waiting to see the advanced rules. And enough unit previews to convince me the game is balenced.
Even then I won't buy full cases, unless a majority (greater than 50%) of the units are playable. Below that percentage it's a lot cheaper to buy singles.

A starter and a booster.

I've started with a starter and 1 booster case to see if I like the game. I'm not as big a fan of the Naval War as I am of the land combat, so I'll see if this is enough to satisfy me or not.

I only bought a starter and a few other ships from StarWars Starship battles and realised that I purchased more than I wanted to.

None, I'm also waiting for the actual rule book.

Also I saw some pictures of the minis on a website and some looked kinda crappy. So I'm a little hesitant. I really want to play this game, but I won't buy it if the minis turn out to be cheap quality.

the deck of the Ark Royal is very plain. IE. no details for the elevators, etc.

Enterprize looks pretty good, I imagine that the colours are just a bit off from bad photography.

The propeller blades on the Dauntless dive-bombers just look like little nubs.

All in all, its hard to say, I'm holding out until I see some nice pictures before I decide whether to buy or not.

Have you seen the pictures in the WAS previews?

I've reserved a case at my local game shop. I didn't even think about a starter set.

I'd like to know when the good people at tabletopgamingnews.com will have their review up on the site. Is it too much to hope for something before War at Sea is in stores? Or tomorrow?

Evidently they have had a starter and some boosters for several weeks now. Plenty of time for review and playtesting. Would be nice to get their take on it.

One thing that is immediately apparent is that must of the ships gun mounts have all gun barrels as one cohesive piece. Its looking like only the battleships main guns that will have individual barrels to them. No wonder Bob showed us the Yamato initially.

Don't you need the starter for the map sheet?

If it turns out i wont want to play this game(unlikely) I'd still get an enterprise and a bismark just for the point of owning one.

I haven't decided about this game yet. I got into AAM on the basic set but I ended up not liking the rules and getting into FOW instead.

I'm really getting into the idea of doing WWII naval... it's going to be WaS or Mongoose' Victory at Sea.

I like the bottom of your sig. If you use a smaller font I bet you could include the pennant winning years and the disvision winning years too. In the words of Carly Simon "Nobody does it Better".

Back to the topic, I agree some of the capitol ships look nice enough to just set on the shelf but I hope the game is playable too. I was dissappointed with Star Wars.
